People love making videos of their Interrail trips, and we love watching those videos! There are lots out there and some of them are truly amazing, so we thought we’d share some of our favourites.
We’ve also created trip templates for the routes in each video, so if you are particularly inspired by one of the videos, you can click the link to the template and start planning your trip right away!
So, in no particular order, here are some of the top Interrail videos we’ve come across…
Interrailing 2017 – Herbie’s Films
This video focuses on the creator’s girlfriend, and it makes it really special to watch as the film has a protagonist who we see exploring different parts of Europe. The video truly is a thing of beauty, and whilst we can’t list every shot that made our jaws drop, there’s one in Szimpla Kert (a ruin bar in Budapest) at 0:53 that we particularly loved.
Route: Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Pula, Venice.

Interrail 2017 – Joel Friend
Because we don’t actually know much about filmmaking, it’s hard to explain exactly why we like this video so much… it just feels energetic and fun, and seems very cleverly filmed and edited. For example, watch out for the music muffling while the camera goes underwater or for the shot of the Grand Palace in Brussels filmed through a walking handstand at 2:21 (if that’s hard to understand, it’s because it’s hard to describe, you just have to watch it!)
Route: Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Berlin, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Split, Brac.

Interrail Trip 2017 – Arthur Pattee
This video just has a nice vibe. From the music, to the moody train station shots, to the bigger shots of colourful floating umbrellas (at 1:05, and pictured in header) and hundreds of bubbles in Prague’s old town square (at 3:35), it’s just very, very chilled.
Route: Budapest, Prague, Warsaw, Berlin.

30 Days of Awesome (Interrail 2014) – Falcon Architecture
This one’s been around a while longer than the rest of the videos in this list, but holds its own against its more modern counterparts. It goes right from getting out of bed on the first day, to falling back into it on the last, with plenty of trains and backflips in between – you really are seeing the complete start-to-end journey, and it’s a joy to watch!
Route: Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Siofok, Zagreb, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Thessaloniki, Athens, Corfu, Venice, Munich.

Interrail 2017: Europe By Train – ncvisuals
This is another video with a great, chilled out vibe. Part of the reason is because most of the shots are in slow motion – however, every now and then, it is broken up by an incredible zooming in shot of a major European landmark: the statue outside Amalienborg Palace (Copenhagen) at 0:35, Brandenburg Gate (Berlin) at 1:14, Hofburg Imperial Palace (Vienna) at 2:36, and St Stephen’s Basilica (Budapest) at 3:12.
Route: Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Vienna, Budapest.
