About our service

Interrail Planner provides a trip planning application, whereby a user can create and customise their own route through Europe. Links are provided to third parties to enable the user to book accommodation and travel. The service aims to make the organisation of an Interrail trip easier.

How are we paid?

You will not be charged for using our website. Instead, we have affiliate partnerships with various travel providers. When you follow a link out of our website to a third party (e.g. hostelworld.com) and book accommodation or travel with that third party we receive commission.

i. General Terms

Interrail Planner is a publicly accessible Internet-based platform available via the domain InterrailPlanner.com. The operator and responsible entity in terms of data protection legislation is JackJack Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 08681110. These Terms and Conditions - like our Privacy Policy - govern the use of the service on our website. They are the basis for the existing contractual relationship between Interrail Planner and users. The planning application provided through our website identifies and presents options related to - but not limited to - travel and accommodation, i.e. tickets and reservations for train rides, hostel bookings, etc. We do not offer direct booking through our website but link to the necessary booking page of a selected third party. Therefore, these Terms and Conditions shall apply exclusively to our services as an information source. You are bound by the Terms and Conditions of the third party when navigating through provided external links.

Through using our website you agree to the Terms and Conditions, i.e. submitting queries during the route planning process. If you object to any part of these Terms and Conditions, please refrain from using our services.

We are currently in the early stages of the development of our service. This means our website will continually be updated and improved but also means we cannot 100% guarantee the stability of our service and presentation of its content. During this stage we would like to ask you for your opinion of our service and may ask you for suggestions, comments, testimonials, or reviews (“Feedback”) to constantly improve service. Your participation is voluntary but by submitting your Feedback you grant us the right to use this Feedback - free of charge and with respect of our Privacy Policy - for commercial purposes and to share it with others, in order to continuously improve our service.

ii. The Basic Interrail Planner Service

Our service is intended for personal use by European-based users or users eligible to purchase the Interrail pass from interrail.eu. Interrail Planner is an information source and planning application for pan-European train travel where you can find travel options to compile your travel itinerary and manage your route. We offer booking via third parties and provide links through to the necessary booking page to correspond with your trip parameters, where you will be bound by the third party’s Terms and Conditions.

iii. Registration

We offer the option of registering as a user on our website. This allows you to save routes planned through our application. It is intended to optimise the use of Interrail Planner even further. Access to the user area is obtained by entering your email address and self-selected password. Alternatively, you are able to sign up and sign in with your Google+, Facebook, or Twitter details — please see our Privacy Policy for more information on this. The personal information stored in your user area will of course only be used in compliance with the Privacy Policy. Registration only requires that you provide a valid email address so we can get in contact with you. We will contact you to inform you of any changes to our service or Terms and Conditions. Use of your email address for any other purpose such as a newsletter can be revoked by you at any time. Please see our Privacy Policy for our policy on email marketing. We retain the right to refuse your application for registration if any of the above conditions is not fulfilled or there is an important reason.

iv. Liability

We always try and ensure the information presented on our website is fully accurate. For information relating to journeys we rely on the information given to us by travel organisers and our travel partners. We aren’t able to check every piece of information on the website as this is fed to us by various API feeds, so please check all details are correct when you are redirected to third party booking pages. We cannot be held accountable for any information from third parties nor liable for any booking made through the third party. We strive to make sure that all rules and restrictions of the Interrail pass are adhered to. These rules are taken from interrail.eu and although we have made every effort to program restrictions in to help avoid you breaking any rules, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that your travel plan is in accordance with all Interrail regulations.

v. Protection of Privacy

Your personal information is secured by the latest technology and while using the website you are secured by SSL encryption. We are not liable for any deterioration or misuse of this data by third parties, unless such an abuse was avoidable - with the appropriate measures of data protection. The use of our services and the information that you provide to us for such use are subject to our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you agree to the use of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

vi. Amendment of Terms and Conditions

Our service range will constantly keep expanding in the future. Therefore, we reserve the right to modify and amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to users at least 7 days before the change or new Terms and Conditions become effective. By your continued use of our services after the amendment, you accept the changes to the new Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with the changes or with a particular clause, we ask that you discontinue the use of our services no later than the effectiveness of those changes.
