Ideal for those looking for trendy restaurants, bars and clubs, you can discover a lively nightlife within the Mesarski Prehod. Perfectly blending historic charm with a modern twist, the capital is a wonderful stop off when interrailing around the country. With dozens of delicious restaurants, attractions and sights to sink your teeth into, you won\u2019t have a dull moment.<\/p><p>Four attractions that are definitely worth a visit are Pre\u0161ernov trg Square, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoo.si\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ljubljana Zoo<\/a>, Zmajski most (Dragon Bridge) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ljubljanskigrad.si\/sl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ljubljana Castle<\/a>. The latter stands tall above the city and dates back 900 years. As well as granting beautiful views out over the city, two museum exhibitions, restaurants, a cafe and a nightclub (believe it or not!) lie within its walls.&nbsp;<br><\/p><div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ptuj<\/strong><\/h3><figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/XxaXQJx2S0tiN7Id0-P1vxwC4au7EjH6giLqwE9zK3muNJiCTRz4wAsd3TS8AIANihaXFJ7FXxZ8dX-6kUIaQHmCdzpXt3aNlRm-pBz7gbhrGfpdBFRAL5W2a2Z14z0mh5L7gvvr\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><p>Just under 1 hour from Maribor and less than 4 hours from Ljubljana lies Ptuj (pronounced p-too-ee). Although this is one of the smallest and oldest towns in Slovenia, its beautiful sunsets, eye-catching red-tile roofs, ornate monasteries and cobblestone alleys are a must for anyone wanting to discover the real Slovenia whilst interrailing.<br><\/p><p>Spend your time in this sleepy town enjoying the laid-back ambience, friendly bars and restaurants and grand whitewashed Vurberk Castle. If you\u2019re here for longer than one or two days, you could also head out on a day trip to one of the wineries nearby.<\/p><div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final thoughts<\/strong> on interrailing in Slovenia<\/h3><p>So, there you go! Those are 5 beautiful and extraordinary places you can interrail in when in Slovenia. Where you go, of course, is up to you.
